20 Participants in Cililitan Urban Village Learned How to Manage Waste

As many as 20 participants from RW administrators, TP PKK cadres, Environment (LH) Sub-agency PJLP and Water Body Unit PJLP were educated by Kramat Jati LH Unit on how to manage waste at Cililitan Urban Village Office's Hall, East Jakarta, Monday (11/23).

Our purpose is to reduce waste volume start from household

Kramat Jati Sub-district LH Unit Head, Amri Restu Rianto mentioned, his side taught the participants about sorting and managing waste, where non-organic waste is collected in waste bank in each RWs, while organic waste is reduced through bio conversion system.

"Our purpose is to reduce waste volume start from household," he asserted, Monday (11/23).

Meanwhile, Cililitan Urban Village Head, Agung Budi Santoso conveyed, currently only five RWs in the region that have waste banks. Those are RW 01, 02, 03, 05 and 07.

"We hope residents are more concerned about waste issues in order to reduce waste volume," he said.
